John Beach Voiceguy

John Beach or John Beach Voiceguy, (born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 5, 1960) is an American voice over actor. He has narrated television documentaries for networks such as The Discovery Channel, TLC, National Geographic and Animal Planet,[1] most recently The Shift on Investigation Discovery.[2] He has been "the voice" of CNN Headline News, Nickelodeon, FX, and The Movie Channel.[1]

Audio Books

Beach has narrated and/or acted in numerous audio books, including titles by L. Ron Hubbard,[3] Dan Gutman,[3] Andy Griffiths[4] and Thacher Hurd.[5] Of his performance in Hurd’s Mystery On The Docks, the School Library Journal said, “Narrator John Beach effortlessly handles the voices of all the characters."[6] Of his work on Cornelia Funke’s Ghosthunters and the Muddy Monster of Doom, AudioFile Magazine wrote, "As narrator, John Beach is patient and solicitous of the listener as he explains ghostly jargon. He also differentiates the characters with aplomb, bringing each distinctly to life." [7]

Other work

Beach also voices promos for CNN, HGTV, The Weather Channel, and TRU TV, as well as a number of television affiliates and radio stations in the United States and Canada.[1] He played the roles of Drake and Archie in the Saturday morning animated series, "Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders." He has created videos for YouTube with filmmaker Peter Bernard which have, as of June 22, 2009, together generated over ninety thousand views.[8]

Family life

Beach is married to actress Deborah Allison[9] with whom he has three children. They live in Chappaqua, New York. His brother Reb Beach is a guitar player and songwriter in Whitesnake and Winger.
